I am the local chair for Guide Dogs of America and am trying to put together a fund raiser for next October to raise $. They are non-profit, so costs are an
issue to be carefully considered.
I'm thinking of a Chinese auction, but I understand that is a big undertaking.
I'd like to focus on the kids, dogs, and awareness of sightless/handicapped people. There are tiers of donations so you can see exactly what your donation buys.
So far I'm getting lots of sponsors, mostly local, which is great, but looking for dog/kid activities on a small scale. There will be food and a DJ and no cost to me...no proceeds, but no costs, either.
Could use ALL the suggestions I can get - help!
