My name is shogun Mosteiro and I am a shiba-inu who was born on 30 November 1996 in Warrenton, Virginia and I passed on 3 may 2011. Shortly after my birth, I became a member of the Mosteiro family in Clifton, Virginia. I had the honor of helping raise two beautiful daughters, Stephanie and Michelle, who now have families of their own. After they left our Clifton home, I developed a close bond and dedication with Cathy and Steve (my “mommy” and “daddy”). My “daddy” and I went for long walks, played ball, chased each other in the house, and spent as much time as we could with each other. I also helped my “mommy” design and maintain the most magnificent backyard in the neighborhood. It was my favorite playground and my “mommy” always enhanced my playground to give me new play areas and spots to explore. I loved to go places with my “mommy” and “daddy” as they had a special van with a dedicated seat with my own special seat belt just for me. I could see the world around me as we traveled to new adventures and new places to see. As the years went by, age began to catch up with me and I began to slow down and have challenges with doing things as I had before. But I do not want to focus on my passing, but on my life because it was a glorious life and no dog ever had pet parents that loved any pet as my “mommy” and “daddy” did. My “sisters” and their families also loved me, but it was “mommy” and “daddy” that I was the most devoted to and loved unconditionally. So I look forward to the day when I again see all of my family and we are all back together as we spend the rest of our lives together in the glory of god and the everlasting joy of family and love.
