Little timid fuzzbutt Cody (2 year old fluffy Pembroke welsh corgi who never read the "bold" part in the breed standard) just got his first leg of Rally Advanced with a score of 97 and placing Third. I'm VERY proud of him, because he tends to freak at show venues (strange place, too many strange people and dogs, adrenalin, funny noises, etc.) and this was his first time off-leash in a Rally ring (we're putting off showing in Obedience until and unless he gains some confidence). It felt marginal to me the whole time as to whether he was going to lose touch, and at one point he thought about exiting the ring but he came when I called him back, but obviously (given we only lost three points), he kept it together. Yay Cody!
