If I were closer, I would SO be at this!
Event: Success Through Socialization
Presented by: Aimee Sadler, Behavior & Training Program Director, Longmont Humane
When: Monday, August 24th, 2009 - 9:00am - 5:00 pm
Where: Longmont Humane Society, 9595 Nelson Rd., Longmont, CO 80501
Cost: $120 per attendee
At the Longmont Humane Society, we strive to provide comprehensive and progressive training and behavior programs to bring out the best in our animals. Allowing our shelter dogs to play in groups is one of our most successful tools!
Some of the benefits of pack play are:
· mental and physical energy burned through intense social interaction
· decreased territorial behavior within the shelter
· decreased on-leash reactivity to other dogs
· increased attention and focus in training
· rapid behavior modification for fearful and aroused dogs
· staff's time-resource maximized
This Power Point presentation is packed with over an hour of video, providing a stimulating and entertaining visual package for attendees. The speaker, Aimee Sadler, has been working with animals of many different species professionally for over twenty years. She has been well received by shelters around the country and has presented "Success Through Socialization" at the 2008 International Association of Canine Professionals' conference as well as HSUS' 2009 Animal Care Expo, drawing the largest audience of the conference.
Here is what attendees have said about "Success Through Socialization":
