I was reading up on SAR stuff for fun and found a really nice article. It´s an assessment test for potential SAR dogs but in the introduction they define and discuss different drives. I found it very interesting and thinking of the discussions about drives and such thought some others might too.

It's "THE BROWNELL-MARSOLAIS SCALE: A PROPOSAL FOR THE QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF"

Ok the full title is
THE BROWNELL-MARSOLAIS SCALE: A PROPOSAL FOR THE QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF
SAR/DISASTER K9 CANDIDATES : Authored by David A. Brownell and Mark Marsolais.

They categorize dominance and fearfullness as two possible consequences of the pack drive.

I imagine that there are many different systems breaking these things down and defining them and they are all probably a little different and such. This was a nice read and tied the explanations to concrete examples (how the traits would effect SAR work) so I thought I'd pass it along. image
