great article BUT-would have worked oh so much better with real numbers. I mean come on-size zero-size 2-size 8 being BIG???? Excuse me but whoever wrote that
needs to get even further in touch with reality and use real numbers. Don't you agree? Or have I been on a diet too long?

I too think it's a great article! But really in my mind a size 8 is skinny...... if they'd of used a size 10 and then a size 12 or something, I'd
be able to relate to it moreso than I can now!

I agree that size 8 is not "big", but if you've been a zero, then a 2, then 4 your whole life, I can see being uncomfortable getting there...
In terms of the article--why can't you have both? Everything in moderation is a good way to go, IMHO. Don't indulge everyday, don't deny yourself everyday. |

I agree Magda. And I have a hard time sympathizing when the things she has been denying herself is fries, pizza, and ice cream... I actually feel better when
I don't eat those things and feel like I am treating my body well rather than denying it.

Good point, Sherri.
I'm going to visit a friend on Friday for her birthday, and I'm actually dreading the pressure I'm going to feel to eat badly and drink too much! (because you know I"ll be suffering on Saturday) |

the first time I saw my niece in a bikini I was  she is a bountiful girl
but I loved her incredible confidence

Yep - I had all of the same reactions you guys did - "8? She's upset about being an 8?!!!" but also came to the realization that she was a 2 or a
zero - hated her a little, but then thought that was unfair too - at least she's not downing laxitives to get back to the 2... Wonder if she'll look
back in a few years and wish to be an 8 again...
