I came home this afternoon to potty the pups and find Bella's left eye has a swollen lower eyelid. I poke around gently to see if I can see anything. It
isn't watery or red, but definitely swollen. I call up our vet's office hoping to get squeezed in today, before the long weekend. Not only do they
tell me to bring her right in, but they don't charge me for the office visit! Her eyeball was not scratched, so he's guessing that either she got into
a bug or some other irritant. He prescribed some eye drops (sorry I don't remember the name) and told me to call back if things get worse (which they know
I have no qualms about doing--holidays be damned). Despite the fact that I caused them to crunch the schedule the day before the holiday weekend, they made me
feel welcome and not at all a bother.
