for two reasons.
Our son Ken graduated from Basic Training today at Fort Benning, Georgia. Because of reason #2, we were not able to join him.. He flies out tomorrow for San Antonio and Medic training.
Reason # 2 is that our DIL Amy had her last chemo today. Thankfully this wretched part of her treatment is over. Unfortunately her genetic testing showed that she has the BRCA1 gene mutation. Because of this the doctors are recommending that she have both breasts as well as her ovaries removed.
I am so proud of these two wonderful people. They have taken on some tough stuff and have made it through to the other side. God bless them and protect them both
