Client comes in for a meet and greet so I can determine if her 2.5 year old dog is a good fit for our board and train program.

They (husband/wife) get out of the car and the dog is just wild, on a choke chain that is about 2 times too big and backwards and it was like a scene out of a
comedy, dog just dragging him to the barn and she is following, her arm in a sling from falling the previous day.

Them: Hi! We are here to meet Becky for a meet and greet?

Me: That would be me!...

As alwalys you nailed it Sarah. Yes, parents are often more difficult to work with and my experience is that good parents are often better with the dog. I
never blame the kids.

I met the little girl, now 12. Very sweet, got a bit teary on drop off, but I worked with it. Hoping the parents will step up here. In a way I love getting
dogs like this, he's SO out of control, they will see a huge difference in 30 days of training.

He is a golden by the way.

On the bright side, the kid is showing an interest in the dog and his welfare so hopefully that translates into a kid that can learn how to help train him etc
and maybe force the parents into sticking with the training program. 11 is plenty old to read MSP. I don't know what the 'rules' are with kids
training dogs but 11 should be well old enough for her to train the dog too, I guess still with supervision though?

day dog, not a 14 day they were totally on board.
