I have been watching many episodes of the Dog Whisperer on the Nat Geo Channel.

I don't know if his methods are suitable for the average pet owner. He sure gets bitten
a great deal and I am sure there are many pet owner bites as well.

The dogs don't seem to be happy much of the time, more stressed and worried.

In a perfect world, I would like to see a volunteer orientation
program introduced instead of throwing folks in blindly.

Basically looking for info on how different shelters are run
so maybe I can find specifics that would work for them.

For those who recall and those who don't know who the heck I am, I adopted Daisy, blue cattle dog, 6.5 yrs ago...ultra shy/fearful dog.
she's still ultra shy and fearful but only outside and I've come to accept her this way.

On the one hand, a huge, huge producer. On the other, if you look into the site, they have a clue.

Breeding a LOT of dogs. Major operation, but not my definition of a miller.

They appear to have a hands-on operation, testing their puppies, clean, plenty of help, handling puppies.
